Intro
to Yoga Workshop
with Mimi Kuo-Deemer and Robyn Wexler
December 6 & 7, 2008 (Saturday and Sunday)

A special two-day course designed to introduce yoga for students new
to a practice, or for anyone who would like a brush-up on the basics.
In the course, led by Mimi Kuo-Deemer (a co-founder of Yoga Yard), we
will talk a bit about yoga as a philosophy and practice, teach many of
the basic postures (asanas),and focus on breathing techniques and sequences
in vinyasa yoga.

Karma Class!
December 13th
12:15pm to 1:45pm

A new, on-going initiative by Yoga Yard. How does it work?
All the proceeds from the class will be given to charity. Students can donate
as much as they want to, but the minimum will be the cost of a standard single
class at Yoga Yard. The teacher’s salary will also be donated to the
charity. The charity we have chosen is Braille Without Borders, a charity
which works to give blind and visually impaired children in China and India
access to education. Braille Without Borders aims to empower those who are
blind or visually impaired to make a positive change within their
surroundings, society and country. For more information about this charity,
