Robyn Wexler: Robyn is a co-founder and teacher at Yoga Yard. She began teaching more than 7 years ago after completing her first formal teacher training in Sivananda Yoga. She then began to focus her training in Astanga yoga, primarily through classes and workshops at It’s Yoga in San Francisco. She has benefited from many teachers with whom she’s studied, namely Mark Stastny, Edward Clark and Judith Lasater, Matthew Cohen and Sarah Powers. Of utmost value to her is the inspiration and learning she finds from her students, as well as her own practice.

Robyn’s classes focus on finding the balance between opening and maintaining a sense of center, while exploring intuitive healing accessed through the alignment of the body and the breath. Robyn encourages students to develop greater self-awareness and self-trust, while bringing ease and a smile into the practice.

Robyn has been practicing yoga for 10 years, and has lived in China since 1999. In addition to teaching classes at Yoga Yard, Robyn works with China Development Brief, a not-for-profit social development communications and consulting organization, with a particular focus on civil society and NGOs in China.
