"Rejuvenate"
Yoga Yard's Spring Renewal Retreat, April 9 - 14, 2009

A six-day yoga retreat based on the Chinese Five Elements of Nature. Hikes, experiences in nature, meditation, qi gong, yoga twice a day, and a stay in a beautiful Chinese village in the mountains near the Great Wall will rejuivinate and inspire, just in time for Spring! This is one of Yoga Yard's favorite annual events -- space is limited to 18, so sign up early!

"Spring signals the re-emergence of life's unlimited potential. As the season begins we are all uplifted by the promise of something new. We can experience a reawakening of our inherent vitality inspired by nature's pull. After the relative inertia of winter, the dynamic growth in spring reminds us of the magic and miracle of life. It is the season of birth and rebirth. Like flower buds that burst into beautiful, full blossom, we as humans also are affected by the annual ritual of rejeuvenation and renewal.

In the Spring of 2009, Yoga Yard will be hosting a retreat in the beautiful mountains north of Beijing. During this time we will consciously connect with Nature's rhythms and contemplate how to more fully engage in the process of rejuvination and renewal. Using Yoga, meditation, nature study and journal work, we will explore how to bring forward more of our authentic selves. This Self refers to the deepest part of who we are, and the retreat environment invites us to enter into our place of deepest knowing.

We invite you to join us in this special time and place."

“I found the retreat to be a valuable tool for learning about myself, other people, and explore what lies beneath the surface of all our lives.... Now, long after the retreat has ended, I find myself still reflecting on what I experienced there. I also found it a wonderful way to make friends, as I was new to Beijing and 7 months pregnant. I am so grateful to have had this experience and I can completely recommend it to anyone needing to pause and reflect and find renewal.“
