Workshop with Shirley: Unlock the Potential of Pranayama and Bandhas to Deepen Your Practice

Join Shirley for this workshop to explore and apply the benefits of pranayama and bandhas both in your asana practice and off the mat in your daily life. Take your personal yoga practice to a deeper level through awareness of breath and body. 

You will learn:

- Access of all three bandhas (Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Jalandhara Bandha)

- Application of the bandhas in asana and pranayama to create desired energetic effects

- Pranayama techniques including; nadi shodana, ujjayi and kumbhaka and exploration of effects to subtle and energetic bodies

- How to apply these pranayama techniques to deepen our asana practice and find more strength, flexibility and a balance between them.

About Shirley:
As an CPA and ex-investmnet banker, Shirley has been practicing yoga since 2009 and teaching yoga since 2011. She has studied the anatomy of breathing with Sam Chase at Kripalu Center, the healing art of breath work with Ben Wolff as well as traditional pranayama with Upendra Prasad from the Bihar School of Yoga in India. Shirley has been practicing pranayama on a daily basis and she emphasizes on the foundation of breath and bandhas in asanas to bring grace and ease into the practice. She also teaches breath work to reduce stress, achieve a healthy weight, increase mental clarity and concentration as well as reconnect to our inner light.
