Isabelle Cyr:

I am from Québec, Canada. I have been living and working all over the world, and recently arrived in China in October 2008. I have been doing yoga for the last 10 years. I started in Vancouver
(http://www.thespacevancouver.com/) and found solace in the practice. As my work took my away to different continents (Europe, Africa) I ended up teaching as a way to share my passion with others, but also as a way to nurture and ground myself. In 2007, after settling in Washington to give birth, I joined a class of post natal moms (http://www.tranquilspace.com/ with Carol Collins). I liked it so much that I ended up taking a teaching training seminar about this specific type of class.

I am thrilled today to have the possibility of teaching in Beijing. My post natal classes will focus on helping the mom revitalize and energize her body, while interacting with her baby (4 weeks to 5 months old). It is a class where yoga is a tool to help them bond and connect together, while mom can (re)gain confidence in her capacity of movement and strength, at her own pace.

I have always enjoyed being able to take my baby with me and do yoga with him. For me it has been a way to find a balance between diapers, lack of sleep and a new city. Here again, now as a teacher, I hope to offer women a time for them, to share with their babies, in a open and non discriminating environment. Yoga can do so much good, I would like to be able to share that.
Isabelle teaches in English .
