Robyn
Wexler:
Robyn is the Director and Co-Founder of Yoga
Yard. She began teaching in 1998 and has practiced Yoga since 1996. The
joy Robyn felt following her first yoga class inspired her to continue.
Yoga’s capacity to enable us to feel, listen, and embody our values
and intentions, continues to inspire Robyn daily.
Robyn aims to hold a space that encourages students to develop greater self-awareness and self-trust, while bringing ease and a smile into the practice. Her classes integrate dynamic movements that bring strength and mobility to the body, with practices that offer time for opening into stillness and quiet. Robyn invites students to explore intuitive healing accessed through the alignment of the body and the breath.
Robyn has lived in China since 1999, and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga
Teacher (RYT). In addition to her time spent at Yoga Yard, Robyn is a trained
doula and offers support services to expecting mothers in Beijing. Robyn is the mother of two boys.
Robyn has benefited from many teachers with whom she has studied, namely Mark
Stastny, Judith Hanson Lasater, Matthew Cohen, Sarah Powers, Max Strom and Donna
Farhi. In addition to having had the privilege of assisting in workshops and
teacher trainings for many of these teachers, Robyn also taught the pre-natal
portion of Max Strom’s 200-hour teacher training. In 2010, Robyn lead a 5-day pre-natal yoga teacher training in Beijing. Of utmost value to her is the inspiration and learning she finds from her students, and her own practice. Robyn teaches in English and Chinese. |
